Miss Jill

        Hello, my name is Jill and I am the owner and a teacher at Roots and Wings. I have been with the school since it's conception in 2015 and every year has brought new and wonderful teaching moments and fresh outlooks. Teaching children and learning from them is an experience second to none. Working with preschool aged children is truly a balm for the soul.  I have completed extensive coursework in psychology, communication, and speech and hearing sciences. I have been caring for preschool age children for the past 15 years. I am a mother to two daughters Justine and Hazel. In my spare time I enjoy camping, cooking vegetarian and vegan food, reading books (both grown up and kid’s), and exploring all of the amazing parks, restaurants, and beauty our wonderful city has to offer.

Hi, I'm Erin! I have lived, worked, and taught here in Portland off and on for over 20 years. I have 2 children who go to school here in Portland. I have worked with children for as long as I can remember in many different capacities including teaching preschool, tutoring, nannying, coaching, and working with young actors. I am an actor myself and love the process of learning through story, character, and emotion. I so look forward to being back in the classroom with the little humans discovering and caring for our world together.

Miss Jennifer

Hello, my name is Jennifer. I have lived and worked in the Portland area my entire life. I am so excited to be in the classroom on a regular basis this year! I have been doing in-home child care and nannying for the last 12 years, while also working in the restaurant industry. I love the joy preschool aged kids have for life! It's a privilege to be there when they learn a new skill or discover something about the world around them. I have 4 great kids of my own ranging in age from 9 to 20. In my spare time I enjoy seeing live music, discovering new restaurants, reading and being outside with my family and our dog, Kenny Loggins.
